Foilboard
Foilboard is a great insulation product manufactured from polystyrene. It can be used almost anywhere in your house from your floors to your roof. Its very easy to handle and cuts easily with a stanley knife.
Because of its varying thicknesses it can be installed in many places normal batt type insulation can’t. One of these type of areas is concrete wall construction where there is a limited cavity for insulation between the concrete and plaster.
The main use domestically is as an external barrier replacing standard house wrap (fixed to the studs on the outside) and sub floor insulation (fixed to the flooring between floor joists).
