Description

Rockwool Fireseal Party Wall Sealer is essential in development of projects with partition walls. Due to extremely high density this product has heavy fire resistance, thus slowing transfer of fire from one unit through to the next. Used to control and achieve fire rating levels of 60/60/60 or 90/90/90. Paired with fire alarms and sprinkler systems this product can give enough time to escape in the event of a fire. Used in most CSR party wall systems this product can be essential for getting your building passed by building surveyors.

Insulation Essentials also offers supply & install of Rockwool Fireseal, please call us for more info. Party Wall Sealer is usually installed when the face of the party wall is wrapped, as the wrap holds the party wall sealer in place. It can also be used above a party wall but should be sandwiched between the top plate and roofing material. Party Wall Sealer is a extremely high density rockwool product and has high acoustic values as well. It comes in a pack containing 2 rolls at 300mm wide by 4m long.

There are 3 main points to achieving fire rating levels (FRL’s), party wall sealer assists by helping with all 3. Structural adequacy, the means of the structure being able to hold up other components. Integrity, the means of resisting fire and hot gases such as smoke directly. Lastly insulation, the ability of the structure to maintain temperatures below specified limits on the other side of the wall. Fireseal assists by creating a heat resistant barrier with high density insulation, which covers 22 points of FRL’s directly and stops flame from being able to get through to the next dwelling, thus indirectly assisting with structural adequacy.
